Downsizing by Design Presentations

Our President, Pat Keplinger, LOVES to spread the word about downsizing and offers a variety of practical, fun and engaging presentations. These are some of the topics she shares with groups from 15 to 50.

Downsizing One Bite at a Time

Have you thought about downsizing in your current home or moving to a new one, but the thought of sorting through 30, 40 or 50+ years of ‘stuff’ overwhelmed you? Get practical ideas from Pat on how to get organized, helpful downsizing tips and resources you can use now and how to get help when you need it. You’ll hear real-life stories and lessons learned from our experiences working with hundreds of clients.

What Do I Do With All of this Extra Stuff?

You’ve sorted and downsized, but now you’re wondering what you should do with all of your ‘stuff’.  Are you wondering how much money (if any) you can get from selling your belongings? How confident are you in liquidating items or furniture you no longer need?  You’ll get advice on how to ‘project manage’ the process of selling, donating or disposing of household goods. You’ll also meet an experienced appraiser and estate sales expert. He will discuss the type of furniture and other items that are ‘hot’ and those that are no longer popular with the younger generations. If you have an item you’d like to know the value of, you can bring it for a verbal appraisal.

De-Cluttering Your Home and Life

Does the idea of living a simpler, less cluttered life appeal to you? There are many benefits to owning fewer items: less debt, less stress and more space, time, money and energy to use on what really matters. Pat will share practical ideas and tips on how to declutter and more importantly, how to maintain a clutter-free environment. She will discuss the minimalist movement… and it doesn’t mean you need to live a ‘tiny home’ like you may have seen on HGTV.

If you’re interested in having a presentation for your church, civic organization or neighborhood group, please provide your contact information. We will call or email you within 24 hours of your inquiry.
